Zodiak Kids, the children's programming affiliate of Zodiak Media Group, will launch a new animated series, Lolirock, at the next Miptv event.

Produced by French subsidiary Marathon Media, the 52 episode half-hour show is being developed with France Télévisions and Disney Channel France for delivery in 2014. Targeting the 6-12 demographic, the series is being built on a multiplatform business strategy. Based on the adventure of a music group of three young singers with magical powers and superhero spirit used to fight injustice, it will first be launched on social networks and YouTube.

Created by producer YellowShark, the pop/rock or electro music titles that will close each episode, will also feature in 12 video clips streamed on social networks ahead of the TV run. Lolirock girls' bands will also be set up in key territories where the series will be licensed.
