German pay-TV broadcaster Sky Deutschland has introduced a new electronic programme guide (EPG) for its OTT service Sky Go on the Internet, the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.

In addition to extensive programme information, the interactive Sky Guide offers the opportunity to set recordings with hard-disk recorder Sky+ in the living room while on-the-go. Movies and series available on demand are marked in the EPG, so subscribers don't have to wait for their linear TV broadcast to watch them.

"Never before has it been so easy to get a comprehensive view of the huge programme offering on Sky, both our linear channels and the Sky Go on-demand catalogue," said Euan Smith, executive vice president product & operations at Sky Deutschland. "The new digital Sky Guide makes good on our promise to help customers find and watch fantastic content easily, on any device and whenever they want to. Mobile Record combines the benefits of Sky Go with Sky+, right now for our satellite customers and coming soon to cable."
