Chile's pay-TV operator VTR ended 2012 with 1,144,400 subscribers, 46.1% of which were subscribed to a triple-play package.

In addition, 20.7% of the Liberty Global subsidiary's clients used at least two of its services.

Last May the company added the mobile telephony to its multi-play offer which is available in 64 cities around the country, according to Prensario Internacional.

In the Chilean pay-TV market VTR is the main national operator; its cable service has just over 44% of total national pay-TV subscribers with 932,000 clients in December, more than double that of Telefónica and Claro with 19% and 18% respectively.

With regard to the Internet, VTR is the country's second largest operator with 34% of the market or 825,000 subscribers, after Telefónica's Movistar, which leads with 37%.

VTR Móvil is the most recent service launched by the company. Last May it began tests with 10,000 clients and by 31 December it already had 138,000 active lines, coming behind after Movistar with 8.77 million lines, Entel with 8.75 million lines and Claro with 5.44 million lines.
