Bi-cultural U.S. entertainment network LATV Networks has annouced a new season of programming, including Cinelticket, a joint movie project wth TV MEX.
LATV and TV MEX have partnered up on Cinelticket, which will air four days a week in primetime. The plan is to bring Spanish language and urban Latino movies to the living room, including cult-favorite titles such as Calibre 50, El Baleado and La Negra Tomasa. Cinelticket will also maintain a unique bilingual showcase with first-run urban Latino films in English, including Ghostown, Sidewayz, and Heart of Men.
LATV and TV MEX have also teamed up on presenting the premiere of the intense, original reality series Patrullando Tijuana, which follows police as they do their jobs in the notorious border town.
"These new programmes anchor a full slate of shows that push the envelope of Spanish-language and bi-lingual programming," said Luca Bentivoglio, LATV's COO and head of programming. "And with Cinelticket, we have a show that can finally provide a platform for both established Spanish-language stars as well as up-and-coming urban Latino cinema."
Also, old favorites return to the schedule with new looks and new episodes, plus the premiere of original programs that join this season's slate.
LATV is the only remaining Latino-owned TV network in the Hispanic television space, targeting the bi-cultural 18-49 Latino demographic.
