PrimeTel, Cyprus' largest private telecommunications company, has held a tender and chosen the SmartLabs platform to implement an IPTV upgrade for hybrid TV.

PrimeTel offers traditional IPTV services and is now planning to move to DVB-T broadcasting with interactive services delivered over the top.
SmartLabs will provide a service delivery platform for digital TV, called the SmartTUBE SDP, along with monitoring system SmartSPY and SML-303 hybrid set-top boxes.
With the SmartLabs solutions, PrimeTel said it is hoping to significantly strengthen its position in the Cyprus pay-TV market.
