Switzerland's largest cable operator UPC Cablecom has posted further growth figures in Q4 2011 spurred by its digital TV, internet and telephony services.

The digital TV offering recorded 35,500 new customers in Q4 2011, the subsidiary of US media company Liberty Global announced in Zurich. Out of the total of 1.49 million TV customers, 570.000 have now made the transfer to digital television.

The number of internet subscribers rose by 17,800 to a total of 553,200 customers while 13,700 new customers signed up for cable telephony. In total, 363,200 households now use fixed-line telephony through UPC Cablecom's network.
