Just days after announcing the US TV rights for the 2010 and 2022 World cups, world football’s governing body FIFA has concluded the more bid winners in Australia, Canada and the Caribbean.

The move takes the overall amount secured by FIFA for its 2015-2022 TV rights programme at last week’s FIFA committee week now comes to more than 1.85 billion.

“FIFA is delighted with the progress of our media rights sales to date which, coming amid austere economic times, more than confirm the strength and appeal of our competitions,” commented FIFA Secretary General Jérôme Valcke.

Specifically, the FIFA Executive Committee has decided to grant media rights across all platforms to SBS in Australia, Bell Media in Canada, and IMC (SportsMax) for the Caribbean.
