Portugal's DTT infrastructure is in a test process towards its implementation with some broadcast tests being carried out in different regions.

Now it is the turn of the region of Nazare, where the National Authority for Communications (ANACOM) is launching the DTT signal as a testing plan to learn from the population's feedback. These tests are basically addressed to the private institution of social solidarity. The signals are also transmitted to the local shops and consumer electronic retails, according to 'Tele Stelite'.

The region of Nazare and also some shops belonging to the town of Alcobaça is the third country's area where Portugal's analogue switch off will take place from 31 October.
