Disney Channel has from 1 April extended its distribution in France, making itself available on IPTV platforms over ADSL networks.

Disney Channel and Disney Channel+1 will now be also available on Orange, Free, SFR, Bouygues Telecom and Numericable triple play offers. With these new distribution deals, Disney Channel becomes accessible to 15 million households in France.  It is also carried on satellite on CanalSat platform.

Just like as in the case of CanalSat, Numericable will be the exclusive operator for channels Playhouse Disney, Disney XD and Disney Cinemagic. The TV expansion also concerns mobile services. Already available on CanalSat Mobile, Disney Channel will be integrated within Orange and SFR mobile TV packages. Disney Channel’s catch-up TV service is also being added to Orange, SFR, Free and Bouygues Telecom to complement that already available from Numericable.

The group commented: “Disney Channel distribution expansion is a natural evolution of the most family-oriented youth channel, which leads in its category on people aged 4+, on the 4-14 and 4-10 demos.”
