Spain's leading TV signal distributor Abertis Telecom has activated three transponders on the DTT on the Hispasat 1E satellite.

The transponders will be used as permanent technical links for the transmission of up to 11 DTT channels and Abertis uses these frequencies of the Hispasat 1E to distribute the technical links of DTT signals on a national level.

The Hispasat 1E satellite was successfully launched at the beginning of 2011, it is Hispasat's most powerful satellite and it transmits either for Europe and America. The new satellite has the capacity of transmitting up to 600 HDTV channels but it will also deliver 3DTV signals.
