More on-demand dealings for Yahoo!7: this time the Australian internet venture has signed up BBC Worldwide to offer a selection of classic and new titles via its internet TV offering, Plus7.
Over 20 BBC series including classics Fawlty Towers and The Young Ones, Little Britain, Torchwood and Doctor Who, as well as Walking With Dinosaurs will be added to the service.
In recent weeks, Yahoo!7 has agreed deals to carry content from Australian public broadcaster the ABC, as well as Sony Pictures TV.
Explaining the rationale behind the move, Kath Hamilton, director of audience, Yahoo!7 said: "We know our audience loves being able to catch-up on their favourite TV shows. Yahoo!7's Plus7 service has seen more than 12.7 million full episode streams since it launched earlier this year and we are proud to be the number one TV website in Australia."
