An analysis of Spanish TV industry has found that Spain's Televisión Española (TVE HD) now reaches 84% of the national population.

This mean some 37.5 million people with their TV sets adapted to HD can receive it. In addition, TVE HD already reaches Spain's 50 provinces.

After the last extension of the channel through Spain, 207 receivers can now receive TVE HD's signal.

TVE's plans for further expansion of its HD offering. The broadcaster forecasts that by February 2011 the channel will reach 90% of the population and in May 2011 the percentage will likely rise to 96% and in 2015 98% of the population will likely receive it.

Also the number of users with a DTT HD box adapted grows. According to the Association of the Information Technology and Communication Companies, there are already some 4 million of TV sets prepared for receiving HD in Spain.
