Rapid TV News' latest Round Table looks at Cable.
The world's cable TV operators are having to face some tough challenges amidst an era of equally challenging fierce competition. For many people there are now multiple viewing choices available, from satellite TV, from well-funded telco giants and their DSL or IPTV options, as well as all the new web-based temptations offered by YouTube or Hulu.
Cable, for the most part, is investing in the latest DOCSIS 3.0 technology and moving into quad-play 'one-stop shop' packages for their users. But they are also faced with funding expensive Home Gateway devices, and looking at pricing models designed to prove compelling - and reduce churn.
Rapid's team of guest experts examine all of these options - and more - in our latest Round Table.
