IBC 2013: Antik launches nano OTT STB with STMicrosystems' chipset

Antik Technology has presented at IBC an ultra-low cost OTT HD IP set-top box (STB) which fits in a hand. The prototype of the second generation of STBs, Juice Nano is a low-cost multicast device based on STMicrosystems' chipset StiH207 Liege.

Juice Nano supports dual H.264/MPEG-4 and AVC decoding, allowing also HD web content video such as DivX and MP4pt2, and 3DTV.

The STB improves the host CPU performance, supports DDR3 and a resolution of 1080x60. It has a low power consumption in stand-by, a feature which some brands have focused on during IBC. Juice Nano aims also to cover web, OTT, and Hybrid TV demand, by supporting IP, HLS, SVG, HLS, YouTube, Mediaplayer, PVR, Timeshift, Catch-up, BitTorrent and DLNA.

“We have combined miniature design in hand with the high performance of STiH207 Liege; they have added low power features and a low price. These four characteristics create an ultra cost-effective IPTV solution for content providers and operators,” said Igor Kolla, Antik's CEO.
