GGA Maur launches mobile TV with Zattoo

The customers of Swiss cable operator GGA Maur are now able to watch digital television on mobile devices.

The new offering, GGAtvmobile, which is operated in collaboration with Internet TV platform Zattoo, contains over 100 TV channels, 25 of which are in HD.

Access is possible with all standard operating systems (iOS, Android, Windows Phone, and Windows 8) on smartphones, tablets and laptops, including the iPhone and iPad.

With the recall function, TV programmes can be watched up to seven days after their original broadcast, while the recorder function offers personal online storage capacity for up to 250 TV shows. GGAtvmobile costs CHF 4.90 (€4) per month.

"With GGAtvmobile, we enable our customers to enjoy television on their mobile devices. Thereby, we are one of the first cable operators providing its customers with an extensive mobile TV solution," Beat Ambühl, managing director of GGA Maur, said in Binz.

GGA Maur serves over 24,000 households in the Lake Greifen region with TV, Internet and telephony.
