Canadian production company CCI Entertainment has reached a deal with the BBC to distribute the family holiday movie Anything But Christmas.
The film, produced by CCI Entertainment & Really Real Films and directed by Allan Harmon, premiered in December 2012 on ION in the US, CTV and Bravo in Canada, and on M6 in France.
Toronto-based CCI Entertainment focuses on family television, lifestyle programming, documentaries and movies, and Anything But Christmas is true to form. The film stars Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future, Dorothy and the Witches of Oz); Elaine Hendrix (The Parent Trap, General Education); Sergio Di Zio (Flashpoint, The Listener) and Gabrielle Rose (The Sweet Hereafter, The Big Year). It's a story about Grace, the single mother of nine-year-old Zachary, who is dating the seemingly perfect man. As the holiday season approaches, Grace realises she is building a life with a man who just doesn't do Christmas and the question becomes, can she overcome his cynicism?
"CCI is thrilled to be to be working again with BBC in the UK," said executive producer Arnie Zipursky. "We have had a really incredible response to this film and feel confident it will perform well for the BBC."
