Spanish national public broadcaster Televisión Española (TVE) will make its first 3DTV test transmissions on a national level today.
The test transmissions, which start with a music concert, will be in-the-clear. The broadcaster already has a 3DTV test channel called TVE-HD.
These 3DTV images will only be able to be watched with 3D glasses. The concert will be produced in collaboration with Northern regional public broadcaster Corporación Aragonesa de Radio y Televisión (CARTV), one of the country's most technologically advanced broadcasters.
In addition, the public broadcaster is also testing some 'Connected TV' services and is planning to launch a multi-channel television project.
