Arqiva adds Nepali TV to SSVC’s British Forces platforms

Arqiva has added Nepali TV to SSVC’s existing TV platform for the British Forces. The channel, the first providing news and entertainment for the British Gurkha regiments in their own language, is being distributed on two of SSVC’s three satellite platforms provided by Arqiva.

Explained Barrie Woolston, commercial director at Arqiva Broadcast & Media: ‘We are delighted to continue to support SSVC’s provision of TV to British Forces all around the globe. With SSVC co-located at our Chalfont Grove Teleport we will downlink Nepali TV, encode the signal and add Conditional Access before up-linking it to our capacity on satellites for Europe, the Middle East, Afghanistan and the Americas. We wish SSVC every success with the new service.’

Arqiva currently manages and distributes more than 400 TV channels to over 30 international platforms as well as transmission of the entire UK terrestrial TV network.
