Telemadrid goes HD

Spanish regional broadcaster Telemadrid has begun a new HD broadcasting service.
The company started out testing this technology last February with the transmissions of the Champions League's matches and in addition to this content the TV channel also offers the BBVA football League. As for its self produced content, the broadcaster will adapt them progressively to HDTV.
Telemadrid is just the latest Spanish regional broadcaster turning to HD and the latest since Catalan broadcaster Televisión de Cataluña (TVC) started out with HD transmissions. Next came Aragón's regional channel TV Aragón and after that others such as Andalucía's Canal Sur.
