Spanish regional broadcaster Televisión Valenciana has written to Mediapro demanding it fulfill the contract signed by both parties in August 2006 giving Televisión Valenciana legal rights to free-to-air broadcasts of certain soccer matches.
Televisión Valenciana said it has rights until the end of the 2010-2011 season to a soccer match per day of the top league and also broadcasting rights to summaries of all matches in the First and Second Division. It also claims to have the transmission rights for a match per day of the Second Division.
According to Televisión Valenciana, Mediapro has not fulfilled the contract, preventing its cameramen from entering the stadium to record matches.
Televisión Valenciana has warned Mediapro that if the company does not stick to the contract signed it will demand compensation.
