ITV has pay-TV plans up its sleeve, including a new channel as well as HD versions of its existing services, according to the Media Guardian.
Chairman Archie Norman and chief executive Adam Crozier are due to discuss pay-TV when ITV reports its half-yearly results on Tuesday.
The belief is that the broadcaster wants to introduce a new standalone channel brand, targeted at a male audience, offered on the UK’s pay-TV packages. There may also be a pay-TV deal relating to HD versions of ITV2, 3 and 4, according to the Media Guardian.
