German pay-TV company Sky Deutschland will continue to show the Wimbledon tennis tournament for the next three years.
The broadcaster acquired the exclusive TV rights for Germany and Austria until 2013 from sports rights agency IMG. Financial details were not disclosed.
Sky will screen the grand slam tournament both in conventional and high-definition (HDTV) - on several channels, so that viewers can choose between matches taking place at the same time.
In addition to cable and satellite, the tournament will also be shown on the internet and on mobile platforms including the iPad from Apple.
This year, Sky transmitted a total of 170 hours from the Wimbledon event.
