The governments of Portugal and Brazil want to launch a channel in the Portuguese language for international distribution.
The countries have signed a cooperation agreement in the area of social communications.
While the new channel's business model is yet to be defined, it will be able to count on the participation of the rest of the countries which are members of the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP). Members include Angola, Mozambique and East Timor.
