People around the world keep spending more time watching TV, with consumption boosted by technology and upcoming digital switch-overs.
Médiamétrie’s new Eurodata TV Worldwide survey, monitored in 89 countries, shows a three minute average progression in the time spent watching TV. Last year, it reached 3 hours and 12 minutes.
This evolution follows regular patterns since 2004 and should confirm in 2010.
Leading region for TV viewing time is North America with 4 hours and 40 minutes, followd by Middle-East (4h34). In Europe, German viewers are the most addicted with 3h32.
