France: digital reception takes the lead

About one French household out of two (47.7 %) is now fully digital, a 13.9 percentage point growth over one year.

The conclusions of a recent survey from a French observatory of digital TV household equipment monitored by regulator the CSA, show that 12.9 million households (48.3%) now own at least one DTT adaptor and eight out of ten French households (78.4%) have linked at least one of their TV sets to DTT, IPTV or cabsat reception. This represents a 14.6 percentage point growth over one year.

Full analogue reception now covers just one household out of eight, down 9.5% over the period.
