Warner movies quickly on demand on J:Com

Japanese cable MSO Jupiter Telecommunications (J:Com) is now offering Warner Bros movies on the same day they are released on DVD/Blu-ray as part of its enhanced J:Com On Demand service.

Around 1.46 million homes are able to receive the J:Com VOD offering which launched in January 2005.

J:Ccom has recently tested several new release titles from Warner Bros. such as The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button and Gran Torino, significantly ahead of their regular distribution schedule, on the same day they come out on Blu-ray/ DVD. Starting from March 10, J:Com will now offer even more titles from Warner Bros. on a day-and-date basis.

J:Com said it would “continue to increase the recognition and penetration of its VOD service and to expand its user base by distributing a variety of new releases through J:Com On Demand.”
