Sky TV New Zealand is increasing the number of channels on its mobile TV platform, offered through telco Vodafone. Five services have been added: Disney Channel, Playhouse Disney, Trackside, World Wrestling Entertainment and Nickelodeon.
The additions bring the number of ‘channels’ offered to 14. Current services come from Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Comedy Central, E!, MTV, Discovery Channel, SKY News, SKY Sport News as well as pay-per-view live sports including international rugby and netball and the pay-per-view adult service Playboy.
Sky Mobile TV costs NZ$2.50 a week, which will remain unchanged despite the addition of new services.
Sky Television’s Director of New Media, Richard Last, said: “With the addition of the 5 new channels, SKY Mobile TV channel line-up now comprises a wide variety of programme genres appealing to an ever increasing range of demographics.”
