Foxtel is introducing its internet TV service, Foxtel Download, from October, with subscribers to the pay-TV platform able to access shows from channels they pay for.
Free to subscribers, Foxtel Download involves a user registering with their Foxtel customer identification online. Subscribers can then download the free player on which to watch programming.
Over 30 channels will have programming available to download.
The service is part of Foxtel’s online strategy, announced in April this year. Since then, Foxtel users have been able to access video promos and clips showcasing available programming, but have not been able to watch full episodes.
