Joost quits Europe

Internet VoD company Joost is closing its British and Dutch operations, and losing its CEO-founder in the process.

Joost, which has attempted to set itself up as a consumer-to-consumer service will retrench to the US, where its SVP/Engineering, Matt Zelesko, will take the lead role, taking over from Mike Volpi who is stepping down (but will stay as chairman).

Joost will now focus on a wholesale business proposition, white labelling itself to cable providers.
