Spanish govt to mandate HD tuners

Spain's government has decided that from April 2010, television manufacturers will be obliged to include a high-definition DTT tuner in TV sets of over 21 inches.

The decision will be set by a new law which is to be approved on July 1.

The new law will also contemplate the Technical National Plan for digital-terrestrial radio.
