Spain helps Colombia’s DTT project

cntvimpulsatdt.jpgSpain's Impulsa TDT, the association for the implementation of digital-terrestrial television, and the Colombian government have signed an official agreement under which Spain will help the Latin American country implement DTT.

Colombia's Television National Comission (CNTV) and Impulsa will promote all transition processes in both countries as well as giving institutional support to the initiatives taking place in both countries.

Eladio Gutiérrez, Impulsa TDT's president, said: "Our common goal is the success in the implementation of DTT in the rest of the world as well as in Spain."

Colombian DTT is taking its first steps.

"By knowing the different DTT solutions such as the planning of the radioelectric spectrum, the implementation of HDTV or mobile TV will be an important benefit for all citizens," declared Carolina Hoyos, CNTV's general director.
