anixe_hd.jpgHigh definition TV channel Anixe HD will become available on the networks of Germany’s largest cable operator Kabel Deutschland (KDG) from August 8.

The service’s inauguration on KDG will coincide with the Olympic Games in Beijing from where Anixe HD will screen selected competitions including athletics, triathlon, equestrian, cycling and sailing events. The channel, which will be available in the digital free-to-air offer, is the third HDTV service offered by KDG next to the two pay-TV channels Premiere HD and Discovery HD.

Anixe HD offers films, series, sport and children’s programmes and is financed through advertising and sponsorship. The channel is transmitted unencrypted via Astra (19.2° East), on the cable networks of Kabel BW and forms part of the IPTV package T-Home Entertain operated by Deutsche Telekom. The website www.anixehd.tv offers a premium live stream.
