South Africa free-to-air (FTA) broadcaster e.tv has inked a multi-year deal with Sony Pictures Television for a range of films and TV series.

Sony Pictures TV The BlacklistThe programming from the deal begins on 11 January when e.tv begins airing the Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winning series The Blacklist starring James Spader and Megan Boone.

A number of Sony Pictures movie titles will broadcast for the first time on FTA TV in South Africa, including About Last Night, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Think Like A Man Too, The Equalizer, Elysium, Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs 2 and American Hustle. All of these films will be broadcast on e.tv in the first quarter of 2017.
