Eyeworks Cuatro Cabezas is to produce the Argentinian version of Master Chef, which will premiere on Telefe in 2014.
The popular show, which has been broadcast all around the world, will appear on Argentina's free-to-air TV channel, after being broadcast for over a year in its original version on pay-TV.
Eyeworks Cuatro Cabezas has already started to produce the show, following the same format through which Fox created the programme three years ago. The production company, which has developed other popular shows in Argentina such as CQC – which was internationally exported through the Hispanic market – and Algo Habrán Hecho, has already started to select the amateur chefs who will participate in the show.
Telefe announced the incorporation of this format during an upfront in which the country's main advertising companies also participated. The channel, which has been topping Argentina's audience figures over the past few years, will focus on soap operas, series and reality shows to keep its schedule among the most watched in the country.
Argentina's production industry is moving forward by adapting the show – one of the latest international successes. Eyeworks Cuatro Cabezas produces over 500 hours of audiovisual content per year, distributed mostly in Spain, Italy, Brazil, Chile and Mexico. The company has also produced original shows for Discovery, MTV, HBO and TNT among others.
